Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has attached the property (Orchard Land of 1.8 Kanals) at Humpora Kralgund belonging to a drug peddler namely Mushtaq Ahmad Mir @ChakooS/o GhNabi Mir R/o Beighpora Kralgund under section 68-F of NDPS Act 1985 in Handwara.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the said drug peddler was found involved in case FIR No. 75/2020 under section 8/21 NDPS Act of Police Station Kralgund and case FIR No. 91/2018 under section 8/22 NDPS Act of Police Station Dangiwacha Sopore.
Stating that the property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Kralgund Police, Police in its statement further said that the said property was prima facia acquired from illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by the owner, adding therein that the drug peddler is currently under detention at Kote-Bilwal Jammu under PIT-NDPS Act.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police reiterated its commitment to combat the drug menace.
