Tral: A felicitation ceremony was held on Thursday at Sports Club in Tral, Pulwama, to honor the national players of floorball who excelled with amazing skills in the 18th Floorball National Championship held at Haryana under the banner of Indian Floorball Federation (INFF).
The ceremony was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the J&K Floorball Association, led by General Secretary Fazan Ul Fayaz. Under his leadership, the association has made significant strides in developing the sport, providing opportunities for local players to shine at the national level.
“Fazan Ul Fayaz has been dedicated to developing floorball infrastructure in J&K, conducting coaching camps and training sessions, providing opportunities for local players to participate in national championships, and building partnerships with national and international floorball organizations. His efforts have been crucial in building a strong team of players and coaches, increasing participation and popularity of floorball in the region, and achieving remarkable success, including winning medals at national championships,” the press release reads. Commandant 180BN, Satish Kumar, was the Chief Guest, and he distributed uniforms among the players. He assured full support for any needs and development of floorball in J&K. President and General Secretary of J&K Floorball Association, Mr. Irshad Ahmad Dar and Mr. Fazan Ul Fayaz, respectively, were Guests of Honor. Incharge JK Sports Council Unit Tral was also present at the ceremony. The players expressed gratitude, saying, “We are so thankful to our J&K Floorball Association for supporting us and providing a platform.” J&K Floorball Boy’s Team Captain, Yasir Irshad, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am very much grateful for the J&K Floorball Association, who always support and have been a supporting pillar for all floorball players. Parents of the players were also present and were thankful to the association for their efforts in promoting floorball in the region
