Kulgam: To review the status of ongoing works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in the district, a meeting was on Friday chaired by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, AtharAamir Khan at Mini-secretariat, here.
During the meeting, the Chief Manager of POWERGRID briefed the chair on the project’s progress. All stakeholders were directed to adhere to the instructions of the chair and coordinate with the executing agency to ensure the successful completion of this prestigious project.
The RDSS, with a project cost of Rs 126.9 crore, aims to strengthen the power distribution infrastructure in Kulgam by installing 900 new distribution transformers and laying 500 km of Low Tension Aerial Bunched Cables (LT ABC). This will significantly reduce Aggregate Technical and Commercial (AT&C) losses in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Bashir Ahmad Wani; ACR, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone; Tehsildars, representatives from POWERGRID, KPDCL, PMGSY and other departments.
