Srinagar : The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal on Thursday visited vegetable Seed Multiplication Farm (SMF) Gangbug Srinagar and inspected different blocks of the farm. He also held interaction with the concerned technical experts.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director said for the last three years the department is working on a road map aimed at transforming the departmental farms into model centers of seed production for different agriculture crops and the department has achieved this goal to a large extent.
Talking to the concerned officers and technical experts, the Director said the departmental farms are the models for a common farmer therefore all the efforts are being ensured to transform these into the centers of excellence for seed production and other agriculture activities.
Director agriculture appreciated the efforts of the staff of vegetable SMF Gangbug and asked them to carry on this commitment for their future endeavors.
