Srinagar : Under the theme, “Ek Paed Shahedoun Ke Naam” Police organised plantation drives in Budgam, Ganderbal and Handwara to honour and remember the ultimate sacrifices made by the police personnel in the line of duty.
In Budgam, the initiative was inaugurated by SSP Budgam Nikhil Borkaralongwith Addl. SP BudgamRagav S at District Police Headquarter Budgam. The family members of the police martyrs were present during the occasion alongwith other officers/officials of Budgam Police. A similar plantation drive was also held at District Police Lines Budgam where DySP DAR was present along with the families of the martyrs. The occasion was followed by an interaction with family members of police martyrs.
Similarly in Ganderbal, on the directions of SSP GanderbalShriSandeep Gupta-IPS, under the supervision of SP HqrsGanderbalShriGh Hassan-JKPS alongwith Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal. the plantation drive was organised at Govt Higher Secondary School Saloora. The Plantation drive was held in the school premises in which SP HqrsGanderbal, Principal GGHSS Saloora, NOKs of J&K Police Martyrs, officers of District Police & Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal& school students participated with full enthusiasm.
Meanwhile in Handwara, the Plantation Drive was organised at District Police Lines Handwara under the theme ” EkPaedShaheedonKeNaam”. The event attracted a good number of local people and Handwara Police thanked all the participants and officials for their participation and kind support.
