Jammu : As a part of ongoing SwachhataPakhwada initiative, the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), under the aegis of Joint Director Information Atul Gupta, organised a cleanliness cum plantation drive.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of Deputy Director Information Ankush Hans, Administrative Officer, Renu Sharma, Field Publicity Officer, Mukesh Kumar, Information Officers AshuKumari, Sachin Bali, Culture Officer Nisar Ahmad Khan, Youth Information Officer Monika Samyal and dedicated staff of the Information Department.
Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Director emphasized on the importance of sustainability and the adoption of eco friendly alternatives.
The Joint Director planted saplings under “EkPedMaaKeNaam” and “EkPedShaheedonKeNaam” campaign and urged the people to plant more trees and actively participate in SwachhataPakhwada initiative.
He said that trees play pivotal role in our life and it is our collective responsibility to make the environment cleaner, greener and healthier by planting more and more trees.
Atul Gupta asserted that by planting trees we are not only contributing to a greener environment but also paying tribute to our martyrs and mothers.
