Block Diwas: ACD Kishtwar presides over Public Grievance Redressal Camp in Balgran, block Drabshalla

Free health check-up & screening camp as part of the "Doctor Aap ke Gaon" initiative conducted for underprivileged individuals

Kishtwar: Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar, Phulail Singh on Wednesday presided over a Public Grievance Redressal Camp as part of the weekly Block Diwasprogramme, held in the Balgran area of Drabshalla Block.
The camp witnessed participation from a significant number of officials, including BDO Drabshalla Hitesh Kumar Loona, ALC KishtwarMamtaSudarshan, DFO Kishtwar, CAO Kishtwar, CEO Kishtwar, BMO Drabshalla, ExEnJal Shakti, ExEn R&B, AEEs of PDD, PMGSY, ZEO Drabshalla, among other field functionaries of the concerned departments.
DDC CouncillorDrabshalla-A Ashok Parihar, DDC CouncillorBonjwahAminaBanoo besides Prominent social figures and public delegations from adjacent areas attended the programme.
The PRIs and delegations raised various grievances and demands related to the upgrading of infrastructure in health, power, water, roads, and the education sector, as well as issues concerning public service delivery mechanis
ACD Kishtwar patiently listened to the grievances, assuring attendees of their immediate redressal. Many issues were resolved on the spot with the intervention of the concerned departmental heads and officials.
The demands and grievances highlighted by DDC CouncillorDrabshalla-A and DDC CouncillorBonjwah pertaining to their blocks were documented and forwarded to the respective departments for necessary action.
ACD Kishtwar in the presence of DDC CouncillorDrabshalla-A Ashok Parihar, DDC CouncillorBonjwahAminaBanoo, TSWO Kishtwar Rajesh Sharma and other district officers also distributed Old Age Kits among senior citizens of the area.
Various district Officers and field functionaries highlighted the Benificiariey schemes pertaining to their departments for the upliftment of common masses and educated them to avail these schemes for maximum benefit.
Additionally, the awareness regarding the Vishavkarma Scheme and PradhanMantriEmployement Generation Programme (PMEGP) of DIC Kishtwar was also imparted among the Youth and Artisans of the area present on the occasion.
In his address, ACD Kishtwar emphasized the objective of the Block Diwasprogramme, which is to address the grievances of people at their doorstep. He also encouraged the attendees to actively participate in the Swachhta awareness drive under the ongoing SwachhtaPakhwada of the SuchitaSangram initiative. This initiative, led by the District Administration Kishtwar and spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. DevanshYadav, is being conducted in collaboration with the Rural Development Department (RDD) and other stakeholders from August 1 to August 15, 2024 involving community members in the district.
Highlighting the importance of cleanliness, ACD Phulail Singh stressed the need to cultivate habits of cleanliness to maintain a clean environment. He emphasized proper segregation and disposal of household waste and urged the community to pledge towards creating a zero-plastic society. He also acknowledged the crucial role of sanitation workers in each panchayat and advocated for intensive community plantation drives to enhance greenery.
In conjunction with the programme, the Health Department, under the supervision of the BMO, conducted a free health check-up and screening camp as part of the “Doctor AapkeGaon” initiative. Numerous underprivileged individuals benefited from this camp, receiving free medical consultations and medicines.
Additionally, a cleanliness drive was led by BDO Drabshalla Hitesh Kumar Lona and the RDD team in collaboration with community members, aimed at sensitizing the public on the Swachh Bharat Campaign.
