Vigilance Awareness Week: Police, ACB jointly organizes seminar at DPL Shopian

Srinagar : To curb the menace of Corruption, District Police Shopian alongwith Anti-corruption Bureau on Tuesday organised a seminar on Vigilance awareness week under the theme “Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption”.
The seminar was attended by DySP Hqrs Shopian Syed Javeed Ahmad, Dy SP DAR Shopian Javaid Ahmad, DySP Anti-Corruption Bureau Sheikh Mudasir, Inspr. Sajad Ahmad & Inspr. Imtiyaz Ahmad of ACB and officers/ officials of DPL Shopian. On the occasion the guest speakers highlighted the main objective behind vigilance awareness week under the theme ‘Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption’ is a part of Government multi-pronged approach where a key strategy is to encourage all stakeholders to collectively participate in this fight against Corruption. The strategy includes ways to combat corruption and to raise public awareness regarding the threat posed by corruption. During this seminar the participating officers/ officials were made aware about various provisions, rules regulations and Govt orders in place for curbing this menace of corruption.
At the end of the events, Integrity Pledge was administered among the participating officers/officials and oath to work with zeal & zest in maintaining highest standards of integrity, transparency and good governance & not to offer or accept bribes and foster a culture of honesty.
