Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that a property worth crores belonging to a drug peddler was on Tuesday attached by it at Nassu Badragund, Qazigund.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that in Kulgam property (Double storied residential house measuring 1145 Sq ft under survey no 224, min valuing one crore belonging to drug peddler namely Ghulam Rasool Bhat S/o Ghulam Mohd Bhat a R/o Nassu Badragund, Qazigund was on Tuesday attached, adding therein that the accused is presently lodged in central Jail Kot Balwal Jammu under PIT NDPS act.
Stating that the action has been taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of NDPS Act of 1985 & is linked with case FIR no 131/2015 U/S 8/15 of NDPS act and FIR No. 64/2023 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act of Police Station Qazigund, Police in the concluding para of its bove quoted statement said that during the course of investigation, the property was prima facie found acquired by the accused from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic substances, adding therein that the operation reaffirms the commitment of Police to combat the drug menace.
