Work on Receiving Station Aripathan in final stage, Charangam Receiving station to be completed soon: DC

Budgam: The Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan and Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, AkshayLabroo on Monday inspected the Receiving Station Aripathan and Receiving Station Charangam in Beerwah Sub-Division.
Chairman, DDC Budgam said that with the work on Aripathan Receiving station completed, a long pending demand of the people has been met, and the expeditious progress on Charangam Receiving station will substantially alter the power scenario in Beerwah area.
During inspection, the DC took status of the progress of work and installation of all necessary equipment for smooth functioning of both the projects.
The DC said that the work on the Aripathan receiving station is in the final stage and a test commissioning was successfully conducted by the engineers of KPDCL and that the project shall be formally dedicated to the general public soon.
The DC said that with augmentation provided by the Aripathan and Charangam Receiving Stations, the smooth, scheduled power supply along with optimum voltage shall be ensured to these villages and other adjoining areas in Beerwah.
He said that the district administration is committed to power infrastructure building across the district and trying to aid KPDCL in meeting electricity demands of the consumers across the district.
He said replacement of wooden poles, old wires, improvement on HT, LT lines, up gradation of both receiving and distribution stations has also begun in a big way across Budgam under RDSS scheme to ensure upgradation of power infrastructure in the district.
Among others, CPO Budgam, SDM, Beerwah, SE KPDCL, Executive Engineer KPDCL Budgam, Executive Engineer, STD, PDD, TehsildarBeerwah were also present on the occasion.
