Ramban : Celebrating ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada under the themes of Shuchita Sangram, Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam, and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, the District Administration of Ramban, led by Deputy Commissioner Basser-Ul Haq Chaudhary, organized a series of events on day-5 across the district.
The Chenab Valley farming team, in collaboration with JK Forests NGO Banihal volunteers and the Social Forestry Department, spearheaded plantation drives at various locations in the Banihal and Ramsoo Sub-Divisions. Additionally, they organized similar drives with students at Government Higher Secondary School Chamalwas and GMS Chamalwas.
Jammu and Kashmir Bank branches in Ukhral and Ramsoo participated by taking the Swachhata Pledge, conducting cleanliness drives, and planting saplings as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada celebrations in their areas.
Various departments including Health, Education and Forest celebrated Swachhata Pakhwada on a mission mode, organizing multiple activities across the district. Under the slogan “Cleaning up for a better tomorrow,” the AYUSH Department conducted a cleanliness drive at Chamalwas, promoting a healthier environment and community hygiene.
The Health Department Batote ensured thorough cleaning and mopping of health institutions across the block to maintain hygienic spaces for quality healthcare.
Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal saw intensive mopping and cleaning efforts, ensuring a sanitized environment for patients and staff. Similarly, a cleanliness drive was organised at District Hospital Ramban to provide a hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
This collective effort underscores Ramban’s commitment to creating a cleaner, healthier environment for current and future generations.
