Ramban: On the third day of the SwachhtaPakhwada under the “SuchitaSangram” initiative, the District Administration of Ramban, under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-HaqChaudhary, organized a series of impactful activities across educational institutions, government offices and various other places in all 11 blocks of the district.
All the stakeholders remain dedicated to promoting cleanliness, sustainability, and awareness through continuous engagement with the community, ensuring a cleaner and greener future for all.
The day’s main attractions included plantation drives themed ‘EkPedShaheedonKeNaam’ and ‘EkPedMaaKeNaam,’ cleanliness and awareness drives on waste segregation, awareness about sustainable and self-employment, and social security schemes in bank branches.
Additionally, various sports events, quiz competitions, rallies, and skits were held in schools and colleges.
In Block Ukhral, a quiz competition on SwachhtaPakhwada was held at Government Higher Secondary School, Ukhral. Presided over by the BDO of Ukhral, the event witnessed vibrant participation from multiple groups. Group C showcased exceptional skills and knowledge, securing the top spot. The BDO presented the award to the winning team, acknowledging their achievement.
In Block Ramban, the Social Welfare Department organized a plantation drive at Parisha and Palaash under SwachhtaPakhwada. Led by the Superintendents of Parisha and Palaash, Ms. Mehnoor Salam and Sameer Magay, the initiative was supervised by DCPO Ramban, Rahul Gupta.
Locals, officials, students and children planted saplings, each marked with their names, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
This drive was part of ongoing efforts to promote cleanliness and sustainability in the community.
Similar activities were reported from Gool, Sangaldan, GundiDharam, Rajgarh, Ramsoo, Khari, Batote, and Banihal block, reflecting a district-wide commitment to the goals of SwachhtaPakhwada and environmental sustainability.
