Srinagar : As part of Independence Day Celebrations- 2024, a multilingual essay competition was held at Govt College of Education (GCOE) here on Saturday.
The multilingual essay organised by the Department of Languages of the College in-collaboration with the Educational Activities Committee.
On the occasion, Principal of the college Prof.(Dr) SeemaNaz, talked about various programmes to be conducted in connection with celebration of 77th National Independence Day. She accentuated the importance of numerous events in light of India’s Independence.
Later on, students of the college participated in the competition and express their ideas regarding the theme viz a viz; Unsung Heroes of Freedom Struggle and 77 years of Indian independence. English, Hindi and Urdu were the medium of expression.
The write ups were an amalgam of patriotic emotions and writing skills. The competition was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Shabina, Prof. AbGani Kumar, Syed ShabanaShabir and Prof. Lateef Ahmad Shah.
Thereafter the participants were given certificates of participation. Moreover, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders will be felicitated at the culmination of the series of programmes under Independence day celebrations.
