Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that it has secured conviction orders from the Court of Additional Sessions Judge Baramullaagainst an accused under NDPS Act.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the said accused namely Gh Mohd Bhat S/o Gh Mohi Ud Din Bhat R/o Khamdanderpora Tangmarg was involved in case FIR No. 95/2023 under section 8/20 NDPS Act of Police Station Tangmarg, adding therein that the accused was found guilty and sentenced to undergo imprisonment, in addition to a fine.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that the conviction is a testament to the unwavering commitment of Police to eradicate drug menace and ensure a safer society. Police also appealed people to come forward and extend support to it in combating drug abuse and related crimes.
