Srinagar, Aug 2 (UNI) Army’s Chinar Corps Commander Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai visited forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in the twin districts of Baramulla and Kupwara to review the operational preparedness of the troops on Friday.
“Lt General Ghai visited forward posts of the Vajr and Dagger divisions in Kupwara and Baramulla today to review the security situation and operational preparedness,” the Army posted on X.
During interaction with troops, Lt General emphasised on the necessity of being alert and effectively countering any inimical attempts and activities along the LoC.

On July 27, 2024, the Army foiled an attack by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) in the Kamakari sector of Kupwara district and killed an intruder. During the encounter, an Army personnel was killed and four others, including a captain, were injured.
