Bandipora : Animal Husbandry Department (AHD) Bandipora on Thursday launched LSD vaccination campaign at various blocks of District Bandipora, including Block Sumbal, Bandipora, and Block Gurez.
The vaccination campaign at Gurez was inaugurated jointly by MD Dairy Development, Jammu and Kashmir Narinder Sing Bali and Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora Dr. Ghulam Ahmad Lone.
Dr. Ghulam Ahmad Lone said that 100% of the bovine population in District Bandipora will be vaccinated against LSD to alleviate the economic losses farmers may face due to LSD outbreaks.
CAHO also directed field functionaries of the department to follow all SOPs meticulously and to perform real-time uploading of vaccinations on the NDLM Application.
The LSD vaccination campaign also commenced at all block headquarters where the vaccination campaign was inaugurated by concerned BVOs.
