Srinagar: Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production Department (APD), Shailendra Kumar, on Wednesday chaired an interactive meeting with KrishiUdhyamis of Kashmir and Jammu Divisions at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi here to review the progress on establishment of KissanKhidmatGhars (KKGs) across J&K.
The meeting, among others, was attended by Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal; KrishiUdhyamis of various districts and other concerned officers of APD.
Highlighting upon the importance of KisanKhidmatGhars, the Principal Secretary directed the officers to give final touch to all the preparations so that the KKGs can be made functional by the designated time of first week of August.
He underlined that in coming days, the KKGs will become hubs where from farmers could get easy access to Government schemes, modern trends and technologies in agriculture and allied sectors as well as other agriculture inputs.
