DGP Sanctions Rs 56 Lac As Retirement Gift To 56 Police Personnel

Srinagar: Director General Jammu & Kashmir Police R.R. Swain on Wednesday approved a retirement gift of ₹56 lakh for 56 police personnel who on Wednesday either attained the age of superannuation or proceeded for voluntary retirement.
According to a statement issued from Police Media Centre, PHQ Srinagar the retirement gift, amounting to ₹1 lakh each, has been sanctioned through PHQ J&K Order No. 2012 of 2024, in faovur of one gazetted officer, 39 non-gazetted officers, 09 lower subordinates and 07 followers. These personnel belong to various units and wings of the department.
The sanctioned amount has been disbursed from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund and it is sanctioned in favour of officers/officials at the time of his/her retirement and serves as a token of appreciation for his/her services rendered to the department Moreover during this year, police headquarters has already sanctioned Rs 11.19 crore as a retirement gift for 1119 police personnel who have retired from their service.
