Samba : District Commissioner (DC) Samba, Abhishek Sharma, chaired the Block Divas at PanchayatMananu, Nud block on Wednesday, aiming to address the grievances of the local populace at the grassroots level.
At the outset of the event, the Deputy Commissioner handed over the sanction letter for 02 vermi compost pits and 01 mushroom shed to beneficiaries under HADP. This initiative empowers local farmers with sustainable agriculture practices.
As part of the ‘EkPedMaaKeNaam’ campaign, DC Sharma also kicked off the District Administration’s plantation drive, “Plant for Mother,” underscoring the Administration’s pledge towards environmental conservation, promoting green practices, and combating climate change.
During the session, several issues were raised by the public, including the installation of a transformer at Balore village, construction of a culvert on the link road of Balore, deployment of additional staff at the veterinary centre, improvements to the Mohargarh to Mansar road, installation of crates at ChillaDanga, repairs on PapadBrahmana to Bagaar, PapadAvtara road, Nud to Sai road, shifting of a transformer to Sarai Middle School, and the construction of crates at Sarai Village, Bupnergarh road, and Mansar to Gangial road.
DC directed the officers to address all grievances within a set timeframe. He instructed the Executive Engineer PMGSY to include Bupnergarh road in PMGSY plans. The general public expressed gratitude to the district administration for fulfilling their previous demands, including a borewell at ChillaDanga and the start of bus service in the ChillaDanga area.
The DC emphasized that there should be no duplication of works included in plans by two different departments.
The status of grievances addressed in previous Block Divas sessions was also reviewed.
The event saw the participation of the GM DIC Samba, ACD, SDM Vijaypur, Exen PDD, Ex En PWD and PHE, Tehsildar, BDO, and other district and sectoral officers.
