Jammu: The Jammu Police has recovered stolen Property worth ₹150,000 in Bathindi area of Jammu.
A police spokesman said that on 12th July Police Post Bathindi, Jammu, received a written complaint from Dr. Aniza Waseem, wife of the late Waseem Akbar Sofi, resident of Chirag Colony, Bathindi, Jammu, reporting the theft of valuable items including precious copper and silver utensils, and water taps.
“Following this complaint, a case under FIR No. 157/2024, Sections 457 and 380 IPC, was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort. The investigation was assigned to Lady Head Constable Rubina Bano of PP Bathindi” he said.
The spokeman said that on 25-07-2024, during the investigation, a police team led by SHO PS Bahu Fort Inspector Vijay Sharma, assisted by IC PP Bathindi SI Shakil Ahmed and Lady IO Rubina Bano, under the close supervision of SDPO City East Jammu and overall supervision of SP City South Jammu, successfully recovered all the stolen items.
“The accused, Rohit Patel, son of Munna Lal, resident of MP, currently residing in Sector No. 2, Channi Himmat, Jammu, and Noor Mohammad, son of Saleem Mohammad, resident of Myanmar, currently residing in Bathindi Morh, Jammu, disclosed the location of the stolen property worth ₹150,000,” he said.
