Srinagar : International Delhi Public School Srinagar on Monday celebrated the Graduation of its primary students, marking a significant milestone in the young students’ educational journey, filled with joy, achievements, and heartfelt memories.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, who was chief guest on the occasion, presented a keynote address. He encouraged the graduates to continue their educational pursuits with the same passion and determination, and adopt new technologies to evolve with changing times.
Dr Bilal deliberated on Digital divide, Mental health being, Global perspective (climate change & inequality) and Focus on life long learning by means of upgrading skills continuously (adaptability in the education system).
He also talked about Emotional & social skills – Emotional intelligence, Ethics and responsibility- implication of decisions in digital life and Role of Teachers dynamic from transmitters to facilitators.
Earlier, the ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from SheemaManzoor; the School Principal who acknowledged the hard work and dedication of both the Students and the Faculty members.
The event featured a variety of performances by the students, including songs, zumba, and martial art programs highlighting the growth and learning journey of students. Proud parents and teachers watched as the students confidently showcased their talents and creativity.
The other dignitaries present in the event were Bilal Parray,; Chairman JK Development Foundation; former Chief Justice, BK Khan; SP Hazratbal, Hilal Ahmad Khan; Chairman CET, Chowdhary Mohammad Showkat and SHO Zakura.
Addressing students, Chairman CET stated that this is just the beginning of your educational journey. Always stay curious and never stop learning.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of graduation certificates to the students by DC Srinagar and other special guests.
