Arrangements for I’ Day-2024 celebrations reviewed at Handwara

Kupwara: In order to review the arrangements for the celebrations of forthcoming Independence Day celebration-2024 in the sub-division Handwara, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Aziz Ahmed Rather on Thursday convened a comprehensive meeting of officers at Environment Hall Handwara,.
The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at DPL Handwara where the National Flag will be unfurled by the Chief Guest, followed by a March Past featuring contingents from the Police, CRPF, Armed Police, Forest Protection Force, and students from various educational institutions.
The ADC underscored the importance of cleanliness, illumination of government buildings and flag hoisting at iconic locations and government establishments to honor the day with appropriate enthusiasm and respect.
Highlighting the significance of Independence Day, the ADC urged all concerned officers to finalize arrangements before the date set for the full dress rehearsal. Traffic management was also discussed thoroughly.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineers of PHE, R&B and I&FC, Tehsildars of Sub Division Handwara, DySP DAR Handwara, BDOs, Dy CEO, Principals, ZEO of Sub-division Handwara and other concerned officers and officials of all line departments.
