District Admin Distributes Life-Saving Equipment to Boatmen in Awantipora

Awantipora: The District Administration in Pulwama on Wednesday distributed life-saving jackets and tubes to boatmen operating in the Awantipora area. The distribution took place at Aghanjipora area and was conducted by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Awantipora along with the Tehsildar.
As per officials, the initiative comes in response to recent incidents across the valley. During the distribution event, officials emphasized the importance of using the life-saving equipment properly. Boatmen were instructed to ensure that every individual traveling in their boats wears a life-saving jacket, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
Meanwhile, one of the boatmen has thanked the District Administration for providing him with these life-saving jackets and tubes. He said that this will ensure the safety of people while traveling in boats.
