Baramulla: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa on Wednesday undertook an extensive tour of Sub Division Uri to assess ongoing administrative initiatives and address grievances pertaining to the region.
The DC, accompanied by the Sub-divisional Magistrate Uri, Javaid Ahmad and various other district officers, conducted a comprehensive review of developmental works in progress.
The tour comprised visits to several border villages, including Gwalta, Nambla, Garkote and Udoosa. During these visits, Minga Sherpa meticulously examined the condition of roads and other essential facilities provided to the local population.
Throughout the tour, the DC engaged with the local community, who voiced their concerns and presented their demands directly to him, providing valuable insights into the challenges and their immediate needs.
Minga Sherpa reassured the local community members of the district administration’s unwavering commitment to addressing their issues. The DC further issued the directions to the officers present to ensure redressal of these issues on priority.
