Budgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, AkshayLabrooon Wednesday chaired a Public Darbar at Tehsil Hq. Khag in Beerwah Sub- Division.
During public outreach programme, locals from Sugen, Zoogyari, Malpora, Khag, Bathipora and adjacent villages raised their suggestions and demands with the DC.
After giving patient hearing, the DC assured them that all their genuine demands shall be taken up with the relevant quarters for prompt redressal.
Locals appreciated District Administration Budgam for completion of old projects and work on new projects which they said would open ample livelihood opportunities for locals.
The DC said that feasibility of all other roads including inner links in all adjacent areas shall be checked for upgradation/ restoration/ macadamzation.
He also assured that the improvement works related under Jal Shakti, KPDCL, Health and Education sectors have been duly noted and shall be taken up under relevant heads for redressal.
The DC directed the concerned sectoral officers to conduct special awareness cum registration camp under HADP and PM Vishwakarma, and urged locals to participate and take maximum benefits under both the government schemes in the area.
The DC also visited PHC Khag and assessed healthcare facilities.
He took stock of availability of machinery, staff, infrastructure and medicines at the hospital.
Instructions were given to CMO Budgam for proposing relevant works for providing better healthcare services at Khag.
Among others, CPO, SDM Beerwah, CMO, CEO, TehsildarKhag& all District and Sectoral officers were present on the occasion.
