ARI&T Deptt conducts inspection of Horticulture Directorate

Srinagar : Administrative Reforms Inspections and Trainings Department, conducted a comprehensive administrative inspection of the Directorate of Horticulture Kashmir.
The inspection team was led by Dr. Kabir Dar, Secretary Technical Administrative, Reforms, Inspections and Trainings Department along with other senior officials.
Administrative inspections are crucial for assessing the operational efficiency of government departments, They help evaluate the implementation of policies and programs of the respective departments, ensuring alignment with model profarma, devised by ARI for desired outcome and public good. They also help effective resource utilization, identify areas for improvement, and promote best practices and innovative solutions.
Horticulture, plays a pivotal role in the economy of Jammu and Kashmir. The Directorate is responsible for establishing and maintaining fruit and vegetable markets in production zones, enhancing marketing connectivity, and facilitating the direct supply of fruits to potential markets and distribution of fruits from Jammu & Kashmir to other parts of India and international markets.
Notably, Jammu and Kashmir has got first prize in International Agriculture and Horiticulture expo-2024.
The inspection led by Dr Kabir underscores the commitment of ARI & Training’s Department, to assist and guide the government organisations to enhance their administrative and operational efficiency so that they can contribute significantly to the economy and overall development of Jammu & Kashmir.
