I-Day arrangements 2024 discussed at Udhampur, Samba

Udhampur : To discuss the arrangements for the smooth celebration of Independence Day 2024 at District headquarter Udhampur the Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Joginder Singh Jasrotia convened a meeting of district officers of line departments, here at Conference Hall, DC Complex Udhampur.
PO Poshan, Subash Dogra, Chief Planning Officer, Mohd Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Tanveer Ul-Majid Wani District Information Officer, Rajinder Digra, District Social Welfare Officer, Kanika Gupta and other district officers were present in the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on seating arrangement, barricading, security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, PAS and fire-tenders, magisterial duties, refreshment, illumination, transport etc.
It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be held in Government PG Degree College Boys, where the VIP would unfurl the National Flag. The function would start with the Shehnai Vadan programme in the morning by the Information Department.
While addressing the meeting, the ADC stressed upon the officers of various departments to participate in the function with great zeal and enthusiasm and work in close coordination with full dedication to make the National function a grand success. The ADC directed the concerned officers to put in place all the necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth and enthusiastic celebration of the National function. He called upon the officers and employees of all departments to remain present at the venue, on the day of function.
Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE and PDD were directed to ensure seating, barricading and drinking water arrangements, besides uninterrupted power supply at the function site. The Chief Executive Officer, Municipality was asked to maintain cleanliness in the town as well as at the venue.
Regarding First aid arrangements, the Chief Medical Officer was directed to ensure the deployment of one ambulance along with a team of Doctors and necessary medicine till the conclusion of function. District and Traffic Police would ensure security and traffic management, the DC added.
Different committees like the Reception Committee, Illumination Committee, etc were also constituted for the successful celebration of the National Function.

DC Samba reviews Independence Day 2024 arrangements
Samba : Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma, on Monday chaired a preparatory meeting to review the arrangements for the 77th Independence Day celebration in the district.
The meeting saw the presence of senior officials including SSP Samba, Vinay Sharma; ADDC, Champa Devi; ADC, Suresh Sharma; ACD, Mehmood Riaz; DMO, Mohammad Sayeed; ACP, CMO, Executive Engineer PHE, Executive Engineer R&B, Executive Engineer I&FC, CEO, and other district officers.
DC instructed the concerned officers to ensure maximum participation from schools, NCC cadres, police, band parties, Sainik Welfare, and other teams for the parade on the occasion of Independence Day.
He further directed the officials to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of all government offices, the establishment of a control room at the DC office, the illumination of prominent places, and traffic management at the venue. He emphasized the importance of proper decoration and seating arrangements at the event spot to ensure a grand celebration of the 77th year of Independence.
In addition, DC directed the officers to invite all civil societies, former Panchayati Raj Institution members, ex-councillors, and religious organizations for the event scheduled to be held at Rani Suchet Singh Stadium, Samba. He also reviewed and gave instructions for making arrangements for the “At Home Celebration” of Independence Day in the evening.
The meeting concluded with DC Sharma urging all officials to work diligently and collaboratively to ensure the success of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
