Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has successfully apprehended three individuals involved in cheating innocent residents in Kreeri Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the preliminary investigation revealed that gang’s modus operandi involved cheating people under the pretext of selling and purchasing vehicles and promising government jobs in reputable institutions like Banks and government Departments.
Stating that the a case under FIR No. 100/24 U/s 318(4) BNS was registered at Police Station Kreeri under relevant sections of law , Police in its statement further said that the said accused identified as Mudasir Ahmad Mir S/o Ghulam Ahmad Mir R/o Thindma, Firdosue Ahmad Mir @Sameer Khan S/o Ab Aziz R/o Mughalpora Tangmarg, currently residing in Chanpora, Srinagar and Syed Akther S/o Ab Rasheed R/o Sonlipora Tanmarg were arrested and taken into custody.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that the investigation is underway and more arrests are expected as the probe progresses and more evidence is gathered.
