Srinagar : Peoples Conference President Sajad Lone paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs of 13th July while emphasizing their pivotal role in advocating for equality, justice and democracy in Jammu & Kashmir.
In a statement issued from party headquarters here, Lone underscored the significance of reinstating the martyrs day holiday in Kashmir, asserting that it holds an irreplaceable position in the region’s illustrious history.
“The courageous stand of our local Kashmiris for equality and democracy must be acknowledged and honored. Their sacrifice resonates not only in our history but also serves as inspiration worldwide for those championing democratic ideals”, Lone remarked. He further prayed for the souls of the 13th July martyrs and urged the government to heed the longstanding demand of Kashmiris by declaring this day a state holiday once again.
