Srinagar: Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Depmocratic Front (J&K PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhhammad Yaseen has paid glowing tribute the martyrs of 13 July , 1931 , who offered supreme sacrifice of their precious for restoration of the rights of kashmiris.
In a statement issued here on Friday Hakeem while remembering the supreme sacrifices of 22 martyrs of 13 July, 1931, said that this day is observed annually to salute the martyrdom which those brave hearts achieved for upholding high values of human rights and seeking freedom from subgugation and tyranny. He said best way to pay tribute to these martyrs was to protect the constitutional and democratic rights of the people.
While urging for self introspection, Hakeem urged political and social organisations of Jammu and Kashmir to imbibe spirit of selflessness from the path shown by the July 13 , martyrs to serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said there was a wide socio- political vacuum in Jammu and Kashmir which needs to be filled to meet thier urges and aspirations. “We have to make a sustained struggle to get restored our democratic and constitutional rights through peaceful means and the path of dialogue and reconciliation”, Hakeem maintained .
