Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has attached the property (Residential house worth approx. Rs. 23.00 lacs) belonging to a drug peddler identified as Mohd Sabir Barwal S/o Faqeer Ali R/o Jabda Kamalkote at present Laghama Uri, Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of NDPS Act of 1985 and is linked with case FIR No. 17/2022 u/s 8/21 & 29 NDPS Act of PS Uri. Stating that the property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Police, Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement police appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood and subsequently warned that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
