Srinagar: Police on Tuesday said that it alongwith revenue department carried out wild bhung destruction drive in Handwara.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar police said that a police party of Police Post Langate along with revenue department & NGO “Civil Society Kashmir” launched a special drive against wild bung in UjrooLangateHandwara and during the drive wild bhung was destroyed on a vast area of land (about 35 Kanals).
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police said that people of Handwara have appreciated the action taken by it and later urged police to continue this drive in other areas also.
