2 Drug Peddlers Arrested In B’la, Contraband Substance Also Recovered: Police

Srinagar: Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and also recovered contraband substance from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party of Police Station Kunzer headed by SHO Police Station Kunzer at a checkpoint established at Mulgam-Awloora link road, intercepted two suspects identified as Hashim Ahmad Mir S/o Farooq Ahmad &Aqib Ahmad Shah S/o GhMohd both residents of MulgamKunzer and during search recovered 32 grams of contraband Charas like substance and Short digital Scaler from the possession of the said accused who were arrested and shifted to Police Station Kunzer where they remain in custody.
Stating that a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kunzer besides initiating further investigation , Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society , reiterating therein its commitment to act tough against the criminals as per law.
