Man involved in illegal extraction & transportation of minerals in B’la arrested, vehicle also seized: Police

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested one person involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals case in Baramulla district and later seized his vehicle involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police party under the supervision of SDPO Pattan assisted by Incharge Police Post Kungamdara seized a vehicle (Tipper) & arrested a driver identified as Mohd Yaqoob Naqeeb S/o Fayaz Ahmad R/o Kunzer, Baramulla involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals at Nowlari Pattan Baramulla.
Stating that the police later accordingly registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Baramulla and accordingly initiated further investigation into the case.
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police said that people found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Police also appealed people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
