Srinagar : Ahata Waqar chanapora – a day care and recreation center for senior citizens – on Sunday honoured eminent philanthropists and social personalties , Nazir Ahmed Qureshi, founder of the Chinar Foundation, renowned for its commitment to provide shelter to orphans, poor children, and Farooq Ahmed Bhat, founder of Help Poor Voluntary Trust, known for his human cause to offer free medical aid services to thousands of underprivileged individuals .
An impressive event was organized for the purpose under the auspices of the District Legal Services Authority Srinagar, Directorate of Health Services Kashmir, and Department of Social Welfare Srinagar. The event also aimed at to foster awareness about necessity of philanthropic services among senior citizens besides eulogising selfless services of philanthropists engaged in the noble cause of selfless human services .
on this occasion the the serene atmosphere of Ahata Waqar Chanapoora was imbued with spirituality as the successful event commenced with a touching Tilawat of the Quranic verses by Er. Khazir Mohd Trag followed by a soulful Naat recital by Noor Mohd . Speaking on the occsion , both Nazir Ahmad Qureshi and Farooq Ahmad Bhat delivered inspiring speeches, sharing thier experiences and insights about their mission and contributions to the society. The partipants applauded their initiatives
as a blessing to the community as a whole. The dignitaries of the Ahata Waqar, including Abdul Ganie Parray , Shabir Mujahid , Hakim Mohd Yaseen and Qazi Ab. Rasheed also expressed their views, emphasizing the importance of community support and collaboration in advancing societal welfare initiatives Additionally, a team from the Mental Health Program, led by Dr. Syed Riyaz , presented insightful discussions on their program’s and objectives . Mr. Adil Rasheed, a distinguished psychologist, provided valuable insights into mental health issues, highlighting the significance of awareness and support in addressing these critical concerns.
