Jammu: In order to maintain peace and security in the region, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) reviewed the security situation and conducted comprehensive security arrangements.
He held a police-community partnership group (PCPG) meeting in Government Higher Secondary School Bhata which was attended by DDC members, school staff, prominent citizens and public representatives.
In a statement issued here on Friday a police spokesman said that this initiative was aimed to strengthen collaboration between the police and the community.
In a significant gesture, SSP Kishtwar distributed 50 chairs to the school under the J&K Police’s Civic Action Programme. This effort is designed to enhance the educational infrastructure and foster positive relations between the community and the police.
The police spokesman said that during the meeting, SSP Kishtwar engaged with local residents, addressing their concerns and assuring them that issues related to police will be prioritized, while matters concerning civil administration will be taken up with the relevant departments for prompt resolution.
In his address, SSP Kishtwar encouraged students to set clear goals and work diligently to achieve them. He emphasized the J&K Police’s commitment to providing career counseling and support, especially for students from remote areas. He also urged students to use social media constructively and to avoid drug use.
SSP Kishtwar advised the public and students, including the school staff, to avoid involvement in criminal or subversive activities. He assured them of the District Police Kishtwar’s ongoing support whenever needed. The community expressed appreciation for the initiative and requested more such events, particularly in remote areas, to foster stronger relationships between the police and the public.
