Niti Ayog envisaged Sampoortana Abhiyan launched in B’la

DC directs 100% saturation of six key indicators till 30th September

Baramulla: Sampoornata Abhiyan, a three-month long campaign, launched by by NITI Ayog on Thursday to achieve saturation of six key indicators in Aspirational Districts and Aspirational Blocks across the country was kickstarted in Baramulla district amidst huge public enthusiasm and fervor.
The main event was held at Dak Bunglow Baramulla, presided over by District Development Commissioner Minga Sherpa and attended by key officials including Additional District Development Commissioner Syed Qamar Sajad, Chief Planning Officer Javaid Ahmad, representatives from NITI Aayog J&K, education and other departments. Similar such events were held across the district Baramulla.
At the outset, the Chief Planning Officer welcomed all the officers and officials to the launch event and briefed the attendees about the Sampoortana Campaign by NITI Aayog, which aims for the saturation of Six key indicators under the Aspirational District Programme and Aspirational Block Programme.
The CPO informed that the district has achieved remarkable success under ADP and ABP in recent years, reaching 100% saturation in most of the indicators envisioned by the Sampoortana Campaign.
During the event, the DC administered a pledge to all the officials present, as well as to those joining from the panchayats of all 26 blocks, to work diligently towards achieving the key indicators by September 30th this year.
Speaking at the event, the DC emphasized the significance of saturation of the key indicators under the Sampoortana Abhiyan for the comprehensive development of the region.
Minga Sherpa further urged all the officers and officials to work in close coordination over the coming months to achieve and maintain 100% saturation of the program’s targets.
Earlier, the DC inspected the stalls set up by various departments, including health, education, RDD, ICDS, and others, which showcased the beneficiary schemes they operate for public welfare.
