Burglary Case Solved In Kulgam, Stolen Property Worth Lacs Recovered: Police

Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has solved a burglary case in Kulgam by arresting three accused for being involved in the commission of crime and also recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that police Station DH Pora received a written complaint from one Mohd Shabaan Naik S/o Ghulam Qadir Naik R/o Badijahlan, DH Pora stating therein that his livestock (five in number) have been stolen by unknown thieves during the intervening night of 30th June/ Ist July.
Stating that a case under FIR No. 83/2024 under section 303 sub-clause (2) BNS was registered at Police Station DH Pora besides initiating further investigation into the case, Police in its statement further said that an investigation team headed by SHO Police Station DH Pora under the supervision of SDPO DH Pora was constituted. Police in its statement further said that while acting swiftly, investigating team with strenuous efforts and by using all available means zeroed in on three suspects identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Malik S/o Gull Mohd Malik R/o Sarmarag, DH Pora, Zahoor Ahmad Ganie S/o Mohd Ramzan Ganie R/o Main Bazar Pattan, Baramulla and Mohd Ashraf Mir S/o Ghulam Hassan Mir R/o Wein Imamsahib, Shopian . Stating that during questioning, the accused confessed their involvement in the commission of crime, Police in its statement further said that the accused were arrested and vehicle bearing registration no JK22-0598 used in the commission of crime was seized, stating therein furthermore that on the disclosure of the said accused the stolen property was recovered. “Further investigation is going on and more recoveries are expected”, reads the concluding para of the Police statement.
