A tragic road accident occurred on 90 Feet Road Srinagar on Thursday morning, resulting in the on-spot death of a policeman.
According to reports, the accident took place early Thursday morning when a scooty (JK16B 7611) collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction, resulting in fatal injuries to the scooty rider. the injured was rushed to SKIMS Soura, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Amin Bhat, son of Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, a resident of Repora Lar, Ganderbal. He was a Selection Grade Constable in the J&K Police and was posted at the District Police Lines (DPL) in Srinagar. At the time of the accident, Bhat was heading to DPL Srinagar on his scooty.
The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident.
