Mega public outreach camp held at panchayat Sundla Block Khoon

Udhampur: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, SaloniRai, led an extensive tour of PanchayatSundla in Block Khoon, on Wednesday. She presided over a mega public outreach program at PanchayatSundla, addressing the concerns of the local populace.
Vice Chairperson District Development Council JuhiManhasPathania; Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh; IAS Probationer Swati Sheemar; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr.Umesh Shan; ACD Dr.Ranjeet Singh Kotwal; ACP TanveerUl-MajidWani; along with several other district and block-level officers participated in the outreach program.
The event saw active participation from Ex-PRI members and the general public, who raised several issues and demands.
They demanded adequate staff in educational and health institutions, Augmentation of drinking water supply, Uninterrupted power supply, 24×7 operation of PHC Khoon with adequate staff and machinery, construction of AmritSarovar in Pyt. Sundla, Establishment of a permanent police chowki in Khoon, Shifting of the health and wellness centre, Establishment of a veterinary hospital in Pyt. Bilaspur, resolving Mobile network issues in far-flung villages, Completion of JJM work in the Panchayat, augmentation of water supply in Khoon and Tehsil Majalta, Installation of a transformer in Ward No. 2 Khoon, Blacktopping of roads, Early completion of the health and wellness building, Early completion of JJM schemes in the areas
Responding to the public demands, the DC issued on-the-spot directions to address the schemes. She expressed gratitude to the public and Ex-PRI members for participating in the outreach and appreciated the efforts made by PRIs for the construction of a badminton hall and sports ground in SundlaPanchayat. The DC also highlighted the harmful effects of plastic and appealed to locals to avoid its use and keep the environment clean.
During the interaction with locals, the DC promptly resolved many issues and issued clear directions to stakeholder departments to address remaining concerns. The outreach camp received an overwhelming response, with people expressing their developmental issues and seeking intervention for redressal.
The DC also sensitized the public about the HADP scheme and urged the general public to come forward and avail the benefits of credit linked schemes. She asked the concerned officers to initiate a campaign for sensitizing rural youth, SHG members, and other stakeholders about the various schemes launched by the government under HADP.
