Dir Agriculture(J) Engages With Devi Pindi –Fpo Workers At Tikri

Jammu : Director Agriculture, Jammu, A.S Reen, visited the Devi Pindi Farmer Producer Company Ltd. (FPO) located in Lehnu, Zone Tikri – District Udhampur on Wednesday. The purpose of the visit was to engage with the members of the FPO and strengthen Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in the Jammu region.
During the visit, Director Agriculture observed the diverse range of products offered by Devi Pindi FPO and appreciated both the quality of the products and their packaging.
On the occasion, the Director Agriculture was highly impressed by the dedication and quality of products showcased by Devi Pindi FPO. Director Reen said that the Agriculture Department is committed to supporting such initiatives that promote local agriculture and empower local farmers.” He assured the members of Devi Pindi FPO that the Agriculture Department would extend full support to further enhance their initiatives.
Devi Pindi Farmer Producer Company Ltd., comprising 200 members, was incorporated with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on 24th July, 2023. The FPO specializes in a variety of local products including Anar Dana chutney, Desi Haldi, Kashmiri masala tiki, Cow dung deys, Chili flakes, Kashmiri Lal mirch, Herbal soups, Garam masala, Kandha masala, Bhaderwahi rajma, Jau sattu, Mango pickle, Galgal pickle, Desi ghee, and Rice atta.
The programme was attended by Directors and members of the FPO, as well as senior officials from the Agriculture Department including SDAO Udhampur, AEO Tikri, and other Agriculture officers.
The visit underscored the commitment of the Agriculture Department to promote and support FPOs in the region, facilitating their growth and contributing to the local agricultural economy.
