Baltal: In a noteworthy development, the Power Development Department (PDD) has installed new lighting along the Baltal track leading to the Amarnath Cave Shrine. This initiative aims to improve the safety and experience of the thousands of yatris who traverse this path each year.
The new lighting ensures better visibility during the early morning and late evening hours, reducing the risk of accidents and enhancing the overall safety of the journey. One pilgrim shared, “The lighting has made it much easier to navigate the track, especially in the dark.
