Poonch: In preparation for the upcoming Buddha Amarnath Yatra-2024, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary visited the Buddha AmarnathJi Shrine at Mandi and discussed arrangements with the temple management Committee and government functionaries.
The management Committee headed by Swami VishwatmanandSaraswatiJi projected several requirements while seeking foolproof security arrangements, provision of safe drinking water, sanitation, lighting and other essential preparations for the annual pilgrimage.

He directed the Executive Engineer, Power Development Department to make proper arrangements of lighting around the temple and install high mast lights to facilitate movement of pilgrims after sunset.
The Public Health Engineering Department was asked to install a water borewell inside the temple within the next 10 days to provide adequate water supply during the Yatra. The Public Works Department was directed to immediately complete the ongoing construction work inside the temple.
