Srinagar: Bharti Airtel Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, has a long- standing commitment towards enhancing education and empowering youth. Through programs like Satya Bharti Schools and Quality Support Program, the Foundation has significantly impacted lives of over 3 million children, particularly in rural India. By investing in initiatives such as Design-a-Thon Challenge, the Foundation continues to support innovative educational solutions that inspire and cultivate young talent. The Design-a-Thon Challenge has been recently launched by Bharti Airtel Foundation in collaboration with Arena Animation, a pioneer in animation and multimedia education. It is a platform for budding designers to contribute towards nation’s development by participating through TheTeacherApp and contributing their designs to the various self-learning modules for teachers. During the launch, Ms. Mamta Saikia, CEO of Bharti Airtel Foundation, stated, “Through TheTeacherApp, we are launching the innovative concept of Design-a-Thon challenge that underscores our commitment to empowering youth through education. This challenge will enable next generation designers to explore their skills and creativity while contributing to the education landscape through innovative designs for the app. It aligns perfectly with our aim to support innovation in education, and we look forward to the creative solutions participants will bring forth.” The challenge is expected to engage around 2,000 student participants from Arena Animation. The top three performers will receive internship and apprenticeship opportunities at Bharti Airtel Foundation, providing them with invaluable experience and exposure in the field of design and multimedia. Dr. Anuj Kacker, Chief Executive Officer (I), Aptech Limited, added, “TheTeacherApp Design-a-thon Challenge 2024 showcases our commitment of nurturing young talent and fostering creativity. We believe in the power of skill building to drive social change and our collaboration with Bharti Airtel Foundation underscores our dedication to supporting creative skillsets and empowering the next generation of creative artists. I wish the students of Arena Animation all the very best. Some may win, and others may learn; however, what is certain is that all the participants/ students will emerge victorious through experiences that TheTeacherApp Designathon Challenge 2024 will offer.” The initiative anticipates fostering a spirit of creativity and innovation among young designers, encouraging them to contribute meaningfully to the education sector.
