Baramulla: In a bid to promote wellness and empowerment among Baramulla’s youth, the Dagger Women Warriors of the Dagger Division organized a tranquil yoga session at Eco Park on 14 June 2024. This event, held as a prelude to the upcoming International Day of Yoga, aimed to rejuvenate both body and mind while fostering a sense of community and inner peace.
A total of 30 local girls, alongside 3 women police soldiers and 3 Dagger Women Warriors, participated in the event. Led by the Dagger Women Warriors, renowned for their resilience and leadership, the yoga session highlighted the transformative power of yoga in promoting unity and wellness.
“The aim of the event was to empower young girls through yoga, promoting unity and well-being,” stated a representative of the Dagger Division. Participants engaged in various yoga poses and mindfulness exercises designed to enhance physical health and mental clarity.
The serene atmosphere of Eco Park provided an ideal setting for the event, allowing participants to connect with nature while practicing yoga under the guidance of experienced instructors. The initiative received praise from attendees who appreciated the opportunity to learn from the Dagger Women Warriors, who embody strength and dedication in their service.
Reflecting on the significance of the occasion, one participant shared, “It was inspiring to see our local heroes, the Dagger Women Warriors, lead us in yoga. Their presence motivates us to strive for inner peace and empowerment.”
The event concluded with a renewed sense of community spirit and a commitment to continue promoting wellness through yoga in Baramulla. As the world prepares to celebrate the International Day of Yoga, initiatives like these underscore the importance of physical and mental well-being in building resilient communities.
