Jammu, June 14: Police Friday clarified that no terror incident had taken place in Akhnoor and there was no terrorist there.
Police clarification came after seeing rumours flying thick and fast with a photo being continuously circulated on social media as the terrorist of the Reasi attack.
“The person, whose photo is being continuously circulated on social media as the terrorist of the Reasi attack, is actually Mukesh, a resident of Jad village in Akhnoor, who worked as a porter in Leh and was returning home today,” police said in its clarification, issued late Friday evening.
Seeing the rumours spreading in the city, the police took immediate action and traced Mukesh and asked all the people to avoid rumours.
