JKBOSE Announces Class 10 Results with 79.25% Pass Percentage for Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh

New Delhi: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has released the results for the annual regular examinations for class 10th in the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. The overall pass percentage stands at an impressive 79.25%. Out of 146,136 candidates who appeared for the exams, 115,816 students successfully passed.
For male students, 71,741 appeared and 55,479 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 77.33%. Female students outperformed their male counterparts, with 74,395 appearing and 60,337 passing, achieving a pass percentage of 81.10%.
The results revealed a significant performance gap between government and private schools. From government schools, 97,143 students appeared and 70,828 passed, with a pass percentage of 72.91%. Private schools saw 48,993 students appear and 44,988 pass, resulting in a higher pass percentage of 91.83%.
The grade distribution was as follows: 14,115 students achieved Grade A1, 17,471 obtained Grade A2, 23,365 were placed at Grade B1, 29,117 got Grade B2, 25,467 secured Grade C1, 6,269 received Grade C2, and 45 earned Grade D.
Subject-wise pass percentages were: English 83%, Mathematics 88%, Hindi 96%, Urdu 91%, Science 87%, and Social Studies 92%. Notably, two students from the Kashmir valley, Tabinda Jan and Aayat Eshan, scored the highest marks of 498 out of 500, achieving an outstanding 99.6%.
Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Chairperson of JKBOSE, congratulated all stakeholders, including the administrative machinery, School Education Department, India Posts, JKBOSE officials, and teachers for their contribution to the smooth conduct and evaluation of the examinations. He expressed pride in the higher pass percentage of girls and encouraged students who did not pass to try again with revised strategies.
Results are accessible through various media: Digilocker, the official website www.jkbose.nic.in, local JKBOSE offices, and the offices of the Deputy Commissioners. For any queries, students can email [email protected] for Jammu Division and [email protected] for Kashmir Division, or contact their respective schools or the nearest JKBOSE Sub/Branch office.
JKBOSE also offers opportunities for students to obtain photocopies and re-evaluations of their answer sheets, which can be applied for online following notification. Students are encouraged to reach out to the BOSE office or their schools for assistance with any queries.
