Ramban Admin finalises Eid-ul-Azha preparations

No unscheduled power cuts, Shutdown only with permission: DM

SDMs, Tehsildars asked to facilitate Local Yatras with religious adoration

Ramban: District Magistrate Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary finalised the preparations for the Eid-ul-Azha on Wednesday at a meeting held in the Conference Hall of the DC office complex.
Reviewing the arrangements made for the joyous Eid celebration, the DM sought feedback on the steps taken by the respective departments for supply of essential commodities, sanitation water and power supply, market regulation to keep check on overpricing and quality of items. The DC directed the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department to make adequate supply of essential commodities like foodstuff, LPG, etc across the district.
The PHE and PDD departments were instructed to ensure uninterrupted water and electricity supply throughout the festival period, while asking the authorities to avoid unscheduled power cuts. He directed to get prior permission from the DM’s office for unavoidable power shutdown.
The Traffic Police Department was tasked with ensuring smooth traffic flow on all major roads, especially near Eid Gahs, Jama Masjids and other religious places. The Health Department was instructed to maintain full preparedness to handle any medical emergencies. The Police Department was instructed to ensure adequate security arrangements during the festival.
The DC also urged the general public to cooperate with the administration by following all safety guidelines and ensuring a peaceful and harmonious celebration of Eid-ul-Azha.
Meanwhile, the DM has also instructed the SDMs and Tehsildars to make an inventory of local Yatras and facilitate smooth celebration of the same with religious adoration. The meeting was attended by SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar, ADC Ramban Varunjeet Singh Charak, SDM Gool, SDM Ramsoo, SE JPDCL, Tehsildars, Dy SP DAR, Ex En Jal Shakti Department, EOs of MC Ramban, Banihal and Batote, and other concerned officials.
