8 Militant Handlers Declared Proclaimed Offenders In B’la: Police

Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that the Court of Sub Judge Uri declared eight militant handlers proclaimed offenders on an application moved by Baramulla Police.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said the accused have been identified as under:-
(1)Mohd Azad S/o Sher Wali Mir R/o Kundi Barjala involved in case FIR No. 26/1992 under section 2/3 EMICO Act
(2) Naseer Ahmad S/o Gul Haider R/o Kundi Barjala involved in case FIR No. 26/1992 under section 2/3 EMICO Act
(3) Kareem Din S/o Jamal Din R/o Jabla Uri involved in case FIR No. 46/1994 under section 2/3 EMICO Act
(4) Mohd Hafeez Mir S/o Suleman Mir R/o Bada Gowahalan involved in case FIR No. 77/1997 under section 2/3 EMICO Act ⁠
(5) Meer Ahmad S/o Naik Mohd R/o Singtung Gowhalan involved in case FIR No. 83/1999 under section 2/3 EMICO Act
(6) Bashir Ahmed S/o Raj Mohd Awan R/o Dardkoot involved in case FIR No. 18/1999 under section 2/3 EMICO Act
(7) Showkat Ahmed Paswal S/o Mohd Shareef Poswal R/o Gowhallan involved in case FIR No. 101/1998 under section 2/3 EMICO Act
(8) Ahad Bhat S/o Abdulla Bhat R/o Souhara involved in case FIR No. 33/1997 under section 2/3 EMICO Act.
Stating that the said militant handlers are presently at PaK(Pak Administered Kashmir) /Pakistan and are working with different militant outfits, Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement said that the said proclamation orders under section 87 CrPC have been obtained from Court of Sub judge against these eight militant handlers which have been pasted at their residences, public places with the directions of the Court that they will present themselves before the Court of Law within one month failing which process for attachment of property under section 88 CrPC shall be initiated against them.
