Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it has seized three tractors involved in illegal mining in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and also seized their drivers.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that police parties under the supervision of SDPO Pattan, seized three tractors and also arrested three drivers identified as Arif Ahmad Shah S/o Ab Rashid R/o Khore Sherabad, Arshid Ahmad Wani S/o Ab Hamid R/o Shirpora Pattan and Aadil Hussain Ganie S/o Ghulam Mohd R/o Nowlari Pattan.
Stating that the accused were found involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals , Police in its statement further said that FIRs under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Pattan besides initiating investigations.
